<p>Clarence's parents were John E. and Florence Edmondson. Clarence was born in Elletsville, but his family moved to Bloomington. After graduating from IU he taught biology at Crawfordsville High School from 1906-1909 at which time he returned to IU. He was the first Dean of Men.</p>
